KÍO in good hands
Outgoing Chair Selma Svavarsdóttir expresses her confidence in the new board:
“It has been incredibly rewarding to lead KÍO and witness the strength within the organisation and the women who participate in its work. I am deeply grateful to the outgoing board, whose dedication and collaboration have significantly strengthened the organisation, increased its visibility, and highlighted how exciting and diverse the energy sector truly is. Interest in diversity and increased participation of women in the sector has grown substantially in recent years — and that matters. With Valdís and the new board, I am confident that KÍO will continue to make an impact and remain an important platform for women in the energy field.”
KÍO’s mission is to promote the participation of women in the energy sector, strengthen their networks, and increase their influence within the energy and utilities industry. The organisation is open to anyone who wishes to support equality and diversity in the field — and demonstrate it in practice.
